About Us
Who we are
Diabetes ACT is a not-for-profit organisation. Our purpose is to help all people with diabetes, their families and those at risk, and to contribute to the prevention of diabetes.
Diabetes ACT is part of a federation of twelve organisations comprising eight State and Territory Associations of Diabetes Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society, the Australian Diabetes Educator Association, the Kellion Diabetes Foundation and the Diabetes Research Foundation–Western Australia.

Overcoming diabetes in our community
MISSION
To enhance quality of life for people affected by diabetes and minimise the risks of diabetes through:
- advocacy;
- health promotion;
- education;
- support; and
- research.
BELIEFS
- We recognise that our clients and their needs are the reason we exist;
- We respect our clients and consult with them and the community to ensure that we are and will continue to be relevant and responsive to their needs;
- We are professional in the delivery of all our services to clients; and
- We recognise that our staff and volunteers are the major asset of Diabetes ACT.
