Susan GrigsonSusan welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the urgent issue of diabetes in Australia. She is a public relations consultant who has worked in the communications and political environments for many years. Retired from the marketing team at the National Library of Australia, she is keen to build communication opportunities and establish new partnerships with potential sponsors and other health organisations. In 2007, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia in recognition of her service to the industry and the Institute. She was elected to the Diabetes ACT Board in 2008. |
Tania HanzarTania has a background in population health, working primarily in the areas of program management and strategic policy. She trained as a Dietitian in Canberra and has vast experience in the dietary management of diabetes. Tania is passionate about the use of health promotion approaches to health and sees many opportunities for utilising this type of approach in the prevention and treatment of diabetes, through not only the health system but through the support of the wider community and at actions aimed towards creating environments that facilitate self-management. Tania is also a National Board member and ACT Board member of the Australian Health Promotion Association. |

Dr Tony HuynhDr Tony Huynh is a Staff Specialist Paediatric Endocrinologist working at The Canberra Hospital. He received his training at The Mater Children's Hospital in Queensland. His main areas of interest are Adolescent Diabetes and Insulin Pump Therapy. His previous involvement with Diabetes Australia includes participation as keynote speaker in a number of seminars. |
